The Night of Slavics

12/20(Tomorrow) will be The Night of Slavic! It is one of the important activities in my department! All of us have prepared for it for a long time and we are nervous about it! We want to make it the best, the most wonderful and I think it will be!
What is “The Night of Slavic”? What will we do in our “Night of Slavic”? Let me introduce you such an excellent activity! During the Night of Slavic, we will perform lots of dramas in Russian. (But we will put Chinese translations beside the stage for the audiences.) Also, some of our seniors will dance the “Russian style” and “Polish style” dancing onstage! The most special is that you won’t get the chance to see it anywhere else! It will only be performed in NCCU by the members of Slavic department! How special it is! You cannot miss such a perfect chance, can’t you? In addition to the performances, we also offer some dessert and Russian ice cream.
I want to show you some pictures which were taken when we practiced.
(our seniors will dress Russian style dresses to dance!)
(it is my class! we will perform a story about an old lady and her cookwares)

I feel so excited about it because we really pay a lot of attention into the activity! I will put the photos and my feedback after we finish it. But if you can’t wait to see it, welcome to join us! The time we start the show will be 2012/12/20 17:30 at傳院劇場2F! You will not regret to be there with us together! I promise!

About the “Culture Cup” chorus contest

Last Saturday was the “Culture Cup” chorus contest in NCCU, it was a traditional contest which has been hold for 46 years in NCCU. Every department did their best to prepare for it! My department was no exception. It was my first time to experience chorus, everything was new to me, and I made up my mind to sing it well!
a film which records how my department practiced chorus

Every department had to sing two songs, and one of them should be our school song. What my department sang for the second song was “Adiemus”. It is a special song, which its language does not belong to any kinds of languages. (People call it as “World Language”)
adiemus

We all did our best to prepare for the contest. Lots of our seniors also came to help us deal with our practice, costume and make-up for that day. Although we did not get any pride for the contest, everybody had a good time when we were standing on the stage. We were so nervous but still smiled beautifully when singing. It was an amazing experience. I had never thought about experiencing what chorus is! Thanks to my department to give me such a special chance. I love my Slavic Department
